The Bruusgaard team is based in Sandvika, Norway, where we run large-scale detection administration and logistics for vessels and companies worldwide.

Legacy

The Bruusgaard legacy dates back to 19th-century Norwegian shipping, inspiring the establishment of our company in 1962 by a descendant of that seafaring lineage. Initially, we focused on gas detection, securing rights to sell Riken products.

As Norway’s oil and gas industries boomed in the 70s and 80s, Bruusgaard became a trusted name in safety, delivering reliable equipment to meet the growing demand.

Solution

In 2000, we launched The Bruusgaard System, shifting from a product-focused company to a solutions-driven partner. This innovative system brought together onboard calibration, crew training, and ongoing support, streamlining operations and improving safety.

Our mission became clear: provide tailored, efficient solutions for every vessel’s unique needs, reducing costs while enhancing safety and compliance.

Today, our reach spans across the Nordics, Europe, and Asia, offering an expanded portfolio of instruments for personal, environmental, and operational safety.

Acquired by Addtech in 2020, we continue to innovate, making quality safety equipment accessible to all, while upholding the heritage of trust and innovation that has defined our name for generations.
